Description
The Lodge The heart of Thaba is an enormous double volume living and entertainment area. The space moves naturally from the fully equipped open plan kitchen to the dining table, into the TV lounge with DSTV, and through to a quiet reading lounge and library. In the evenings, light the fireplace, pour something from the self stocked pub (ice machine and drinks fridge provided), or challenge your group to a game of pool. The bush is not backdrop here. It is the experience. Spend afternoons in the plunge pool or on the sun deck. Gather around the boma fire for a wood braai. Use the veranda gas Weber with mountain views. Watch game from the elevated viewing deck. The waterhole activity alone can fill an afternoon. A non intrusive electrified fence surrounds the lodge for peace of mind, while Big Five wildlife is regularly seen in the surrounding area. Services and Comfort The lodge is fully serviced. Two housekeepers and a gardener maintain the property during your stay. Cellphone coverage is available, along with limited complimentary WiFi. While Big Five sightings cannot be guaranteed, this reserve is known for excellent game viewing and birdlife, particularly in the warmer months. Important: Gate and conservation fees are not included in the nightly rate. These are payable directly on arrival at the reserve gate. Current fees are R298 per adult and R210 per child or pensioner, per day. Please factor this into your trip budget. Self check in is available, and someone is on call 24 hours a day.
